Production Scheduler

AE Aerospace is a Birmingham based SME, at the forefront of Aerospace and Defence machining. Even with Covid-19 our order book has continued to expand, and we are now looking to add an extra layer of control and performance with a Production Scheduler.

Your job will be to help us plan machine loading and delivery of product across our 4 cells including a range of 3, 4 and 5 axis, Mazak CNC’s and additional finishing processes. You will liaise with our production planner who will keep you updated with the customers’ schedules, and with our logistics team to plan external processing and customer despatch.

Ideally you will have similar experience, and understand CNC machining and setup times, and be able to take this into account when creating the plan. Additionally, you will be able to make the plan visual to our teams, track its progress and adjust as required.

#5G Journey - Update 2

Yesterday we had a lovely visit from Katy Smith from Fitfactory Technology who gave our team their initial training on how to use their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The system will streamline all projects through an automated system.

With communication taking place between devices in real time over the 5G private network, we aim to switch a reactive approach to a proactive one, identifying and solving issues as they emerge with minimal disruption.
