AE Aerospace awarded new £3.6m Airbus Contract

We have just secured a £3.6m three-year contract with a major Aerospace Company in the Midlands, supplying complex machined components for the A220 Airbus programme.

Obtaining an order of this scale, after 2020 saw Civil Aerospace manufacturing plummet, is a huge vote of confidence for AE Aerospace and the sector. This contract will see us growing back to the sales levels seen in 2019 and will ensure that we can maintain employment for skilled staff, whilst providing additional supply chain work in the West Midlands.

The three-year contract reflects our continuous investment in facilities, manufacturing technologies and our team. Ultimately, it is the investment in improved machining which resulted in a price reduction for the customer. In securing this agreement, we have demonstrated the ability to meet the competitive demands of cost, quality and performance expected.
