AE Aerospace has been shortlisted!
Last month we were announced Manufacturing Business of the Year at the Birmingham Business Awards! We are now delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for 10 more awards! Awards are an opportunity for us to celebrate the hard work of our team, boosting our moral after what has been the most challenging year for us all, as well as learning from other best practices in the industry.
From where we were 7 years ago, sales have increased 7 fold, staff numbers 2.5 times higher, we’ve consolidated 2 old factories into a modern facility and reduced the average age of our machine tools from over 35 years to less than 5. And most importantly of all, we’re providing training for all staff, a better working environment and gone from no Apprentices to over 18% of our team being in a formal Apprenticeship.

And lastly, we became the first UK SME to trial a private 5G network with BT and WM5G.
It’s only when we are given a moment to reflect on what we have achieved, in instances such as awards, are we able to appreciate how far we have come.
We would like to congratulate everyone that has been shortlisted in these awards and we look forward to attending them… and finally getting the chance to put a gown on!
